Some people thrive by working in an office surrounded by coworkers. But other people thrive by working in the privacy of their own home.
And if you’re anything like me, then you’re a homebody and you can actually be MORE productive by working from home!
And guys, I’m not just a homebody.
I’m also passionate about being able to live my life and not be tied down to a job. I’m passionate about being able to travel and do other things besides just working from 9-5 in an office all the time.
So when you don’t have a billion bucks to live off of, or a thriving online business that you can do from anywhere in the world, then the next best option is to find a work-from-home job that will allow you to work from where you want to work.
And that’s why, today we’re going over the top 17 remote jobs that are always hiring. Plus, many of these jobs allow you to work globally, so you can literally work wherever you want to, and many of them will allow you to make your own schedule and work whenever you want to.
So if you’re new here, my name is Rebecca and here we focus on building wealth and living our dreams without being tied down to a traditional job. And I just wanted to say welcome back to all my friends.
But let’s go ahead and jump into these top 17 remote jobs that are always hiring.
They provide transcription services to whoever may need them, and you can become a freelance transcriptionist with them.
This means you are an independent contractor and you are basically building your own business, but they make it very easy to get started with that. They pay an average of $0.60 per audio minute which is equal to $36 per audio hour.
Now these next 4 jobs also work the same way in that they are freelance or independent contractor jobs as well.
So again, that means you’re basically starting your own business but they make the process super easy for you. But instead of transcription, these 4 are going to be customer service jobs.
And how most of these companies work is they connect you with other companies who need customer service specialists.
That way, instead of you having to go to get a regular job, you can create your own small business and you can even take on as many clients as you’re able to carry.
And obviously you can do this from the comfort of your own home as well as choose clients with the schedule that fits yours, so it is very flexible!
The average pay here is $17.13 per hour.
(Keep in mind not all of these are going to be customer service related – only this section.)
The average pay is $11.00 - $20.00 per hour.
The pay you can make here is going to be on average between $12.68 - $34.47 per hour.
The average pay here is between $15.00 - $57.00 per hour. I know that’s a wide range, but stay encouraged because the average in California for example is actually all the way up at $56 per hour!
Next I have one more customer service position, but this one is going to have more traditional job options.
And I say traditional in the sense that it is not independent contractor work, but rather traditional employee work. But of course it is still remote.
The average pay here is $14.25 - $21.80 per hour.
Up next I have 2 companies that have mostly tech-related opportunities so look around and see if any of these remote positions will be a good fit for you.
Keep in mind that even if you are not a techie, you should still look through their openings, because they do have some other types of positions available as well to cover other types of roles within each company.
Their pay ranges from $19 to $62 per hour.
According to indeed, the average pay is $68k per year.
Up next I have a list of 7 different companies that each have a variety of job opportunities available in different fields of work.
So if you’re not looking for one of the categories of work we’ve already covered, then these 7 companies would be a good place to start and see what’s a great fit for you:
They connect healthcare specialists and companies, but they also have a variety of remote opportunities available. So you don’t have to be in the healthcare industry to land a job here.
They even have entry-level positions and global opportunities available. The average pay here is $17.95 - $43.00 per hour.
This company manages the backend of online sales, and while that sounds very techy, they do have a variety of different types of remote positions available in different fields of expertise.
So don’t count yourself out without taking a look. You should also be able to find more jobs from them on Flexjobs, and those listings do say that you can work from anywhere you want globally.
The average pay is said to be $17.92 per hour, however pay for some of their roles is much higher, such as $204k per year.
I think we all know good old Uhaul, but if you’re unfamiliar, they specialize in shipping packages.
To find open remote positions with them, I recommend also searching on hiring sites like Indeed.
The most common remote positions they have are: Sales & Reservations or Customer Service. These are the main, entry-level options, but again, there are also some other openings!
The average pay is $12.56 per hour for the remote positions.
This company specializes in tech such as cyber security. But again they have a variety of jobs available, not all tech-related, so you can still check them out even if you are not a tech wiz.
Also try looking for them on Indeed & Glassdoor. The average pay is between $41k - $192k per year.
Most of us are familiar with Wikipedia, but according to their own website, the Wikimedia Foundation is the non-profit side of Wikipedia that makes it possible for Wikipedia to provide the free knowledge that they specialize in.
To find their job openings, you may also want to search on Linked-In and Indeed. Their average pay is ranging between $33k - $274k.
Once again most of us are familiar with this organization, but if you are not, Airbnb is a short-term rental company that helps to connect individuals who are traveling with individuals who have spaces to rent out to those travelers.
And again, they have a variety of different remote jobs available. You might have success finding their openings by looking on Flexjobs, Indeed, etc. And the pay is said to be between about $58k - $341k per year.
This company actually specializes in helping people who are specifically interested in working and traveling around the world at the same time!
They connect people with jobs that are across a variety of different industries, but that are all remote and allow you to travel.
They also provide some pretty cool travel opportunities!
You can also look on Flexjobs for more - (by the way, this post is not sponsored!) The jobs they currently have listed on their own website are showing pay between $50k - $350k per year, but again there are more jobs on the hiring sites.
Up next is going to be a Translator job. And this one and number 17 are freelance work, like we talked about before, so you’d be an independent contractor with them.
This opportunity is great because you can work from anywhere globally without any problem.
On their site you can click on different languages that they work with to find out the average monthly pay.
The English average pay is $417 per month. But again, this is not the maximum, it’s just an average, and it’s most likely part time work on average.
With this final job, you can become a freelance scorer of students’ work on their English studies:
And this is also a freelance position that you can do anywhere globally.
As a freelance scorer, they say that you can make over $10.00 per hour, and you can work as much as you want.
So there you have it; the top 17 remote jobs that are always hiring in a variety of different fields of work. I hope you are able to find one that is the right fit for you and your needs!
So that’s gonna do it for today, but let me know in the comments, are you a homebody like me? Or are you also into traveling like I am?
If you made it to the end of this post, I’m so honored that you would take your time to be with me and I truly hope this information was helpful to you.
