Hi friend, welcome back. Today we’re going to be going over 14 fresh social media ideas for your small business that you can use for the upcoming month.
Some of these are going to be tailored to the month of October. But, if you’re reading this in a different month, these ideas are still going to be versatile for any month of the year.
You just have to get a little creative to adjust them here and there.
And at the end of the post, I’ll be giving you 20 holidays and observances in the month of October that you may not be aware of, my favorite being taco day.
You can obviously use these to generate more fun and unique content for your social media, so make sure you don’t forget to check those out.
So my name is Rebecca for those who are new here and around here we focus on building wealth and living our dreams without being tied down to a traditional job.
Now there are a lot of aspects to that, but today we’re focusing on small business and content creation. So if you’re interested in those things, you're in the right place.
Let’s go ahead and get started!
First off, we have 10 social media ideas that are mostly customized to October, but these can all be tweaked to another month if you get a little creative:
1. Seasonal Product Features
Showcase products that are particularly relevant for fall or Halloween.
2. Behind-the-Scenes Fall Preparations
Show how your business is gearing up for the fall season.
3. Fall-Themed Tips or DIYs
Provide tips related to your industry that are useful during the fall season.
4. Meet the Team

5. Promote a Seasonal Sale or Offer

6. Share Local Fall Events

9. Poll or Survey

So those are the 10 social media ideas specifically for October, but up next we have 4 more post ideas that are not specific to October at all.
These next four can be used any time of the year without any tweaking.
And then of course, after these 4, we’ll be running through the 20 holidays and observances in October that I have gathered for you.
11. Throwback Thursday to significant moments in your business.
12. Random behind-the-scenes photos or videos.
13. Highlight customer reviews or testimonials.
14.Feature local events or news.
As I said, these four are helpful in that you can reuse them over and over again throughout the year as many times as you’d like.
You could even use them once a month each, which would give you one post per week for the entire year without even putting in that much effort! That may not sound like much content, but it actually is a lot compared to many small businesses.
Remember, it doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
Even a little bit can go a long way. And of course, remember that you can tailor these to your own business to make them unique and original and on brand for you and keep your customers engaged.
So I’ve picked out 20 fun and important holidays and observances in October that you can also use to spice up your social media and marketing content next month!

Social media is so important for every small business, but it can be pretty time-consuming and taxing on the brain to have to come up with these ideas constantly.
So I wanted to try to alleviate some of that burden for you with these ideas.
But still I know that even with all of these free ideas, small business social media can be overwhelming and exhausting. And many small businesses quite frankly need to focus their energy on other tasks.
So if you need to outsource your social media management, I want to let you know that my husband and I offer social media management as a part of our business.
Now if you've made it to the end of this post, I’m so honored that you would take your time to be with me and I truly hope this was helpful.
Until next time, just remember that you are loved, you are not alone, and you’ve got this!
